May GOD bless him and rest in peace brother. Back in the 70's he brought Harley-Davidson into my house via TV. I have given up TV but not Harley's. Thanks Evel

Evel was an original...a true bad azz

I am repeating a story I posted a ways back about Roger Reiman and Reiman harley davidson...a little dealership in the town I grew up in, Kewanee Ill......Roger Reiman was a pro HD racer andEvels head mechanic...I'll always remember those fancy red white and blue painted semis comin into town and parkin at the dealership...

Man, wow. Evel was my first and only hero besides my dad. The first time I saw him on TV I was mesmerized by motorcycles. I used to do trashcan jump "events" like on Wide World of Sports on my Schwinn Stingray in the neighborhood and still have lots of scars from it. Got my first girlfriend cause she thought I was fearless like Evel. He was the greatest Sportster (XR-750) rider ever and the reason I ride a Sporty now.

I'll be havin' a few whiskeys tonight in honor of my hero.

Give 'em hell up there Evel and thanks for the memories...

Evel was a great man. No matter how bad he got busted up he got right back on. He had *****. R.I.P Bro.

If you were trying to explain America to someone who'd never been here, one of the things you'd have to show them would be video of Evel Knievel and all the crazy **** he used to do. What an original.
