I like the new colors of denim paint, good to look at, but not for me to own. I like shiny paint. But love 'em in the show rooms.

I have an 08 Street Bob in crimson red. Picked it because I like the color and because it's different than traditional shines. Cleaning is easy and I don't have to spend money croming out everythimg on the bike. I have change the derby cover to a flat black with OLD 7 logo's.
My wife don't like the color and respnse from people who see it is about 50/50. One guy ask what color I was going to paint the bike, thinking the paint was primer.
I like the idea of a little windex on a rag and I'm riding again, no waxing either.

It is personal preference.I painted my last bike with a satin clear over black, againstthe polished aluminum, in my eyes is gorgeous.

.......But trying to take care of the flat finish would be as hard askeeping chrome polished on a leaky master cylinder.

I personally LOVE the flat burgundy or whatever they call it. But as everyone here seems to agree .. it's a personal preference.
