I'm just wondering though, if you scuff it, will it leave a mark?

With our luck, it will leave a shiney spot. Go figure.

Don't know how the MoCo protects their flat black, but I painted some fatbobs flat black and used a clear coat made for flat paint jobs. How matte it comes out depends on how much hardner you mix in. I haven't mounted them yet, but they've been knocking around the garage for a while and I haven't managed to scuff them yet . . .

I bought a Black Denim Night Train a couple of weeks ago and I think it looks incredible. I get a lot of compliments on it. Cleaning it is a breeze (window cleaner). The color is supposed to fade some with age and basically age like "real" denim. Not sure how that will end up looking, but I'll deal with it when I get there. I agree it's definitely not for every bike, but on the right one, it looks great.

used to be an old '50 merc that cruised the hood.. it was flat/matte [light]purple
and looked bad-*** like purple primer...
im really surprised someone hasnt done the grey primer on a bob yet... not the pewter...the grey
that'd be the shizzle on a blacked out bob... hrmmm
