As others have said, you need to find another group of people and places to hang around where 90% of the men arn't so insecure.
My wife was riding her own 12 years ago when I met her & I can tell you there is nothing more sexy (to me at least) than a good looking woman on a Harley, especially a Springer!

I personnaly think it's great the you want to ride your own bike.There is so much lost in the experience unless you actually control the bike yourself.In our club there are a 1/2 dozen or so lady riders, and some of them are better than their male significant others and other men in the club.
I wanted to get my wife into riding her own but she prefers the back seat, shes been there almost 30 years and never once wanted to actually ride for herself. I really don't mind her there, she is a great passenger and she really is not a hinderence of any kind. She understands what she should and shouldn't do. But I think if you actually tried it she would be hooked.
Don't let narrow minded men or even women brother you. Now, if they say something that gets under your skin you can just get on your bike an ride away.

Twiggy, if I'm not mistaken, from the looks of you on your bike in the sig, you are around 6' tall and that alone should keep the wise guys mouths shut. You don't look like the type of person male or female. that I would want to have pissed at me. Ride on girl!

I like my bike as a solo but like to hang with the old lady so,I have my wife in classes right now and am looking for her bike.
I think chicks on bikes is cool
