RE: outlaw bikers
this is a funny side note...back in the 70's i joined a club and they required all members to be a card carrying member of the AMA and gave me a club pamphlet that explained that all clubs not sanctioned by the AMA were ....tadaaa!!! outlaw biker clubs....
i still crack up when i think of some of the rules of that club....one was that if some one wants to take your colors you show them your membership card.....i still crack up at that one...ok ....sorry for hijacking the post....back to the news....
stand back ....he's going for his membership card...

What's the big deal with Queen being on TV, they already know who he is and what he looks like. OMG's are a very small% of the population. He probably has a better chance of getting hit by a bus than a Mongol. Every cop that ever arrested more than a couple people has somebody that would like to take a shot at the title. Comes with the job.

Two other good books that I've read are Fallen Angel, by Barry Mayson, who went to the "other side" (religious) after being an HA, and Chain of Evidence, by Michael Detroit, aboutfemale undercover cop Victorie Seele, who infiltrated the Angels, posing as a biker chick, riding with an informant.

Trust me The last thing any club wants is a war with LE. There's that little problem that we all carry serious heat, outnumber them about 100k to 1 and you F%^K with one and you just put the biggest Bullseye you ever saw on your sorry ***! The boys will come out of the woodwork to **** in your cheerios. The last thing a true 1%er wants to do is draw extra attention to the club, that is why you see very few incidents of violence against anyone except other clubs. Fly under the radar or get shot out of the sky.

Definitelyget the book "Hell's Angel" memoir by Sonny Barger (founder of Hell's Angel's). It's a well written book and you will want to read it from cover to cover and back again.
Sonnytalks about dozens of things such as how they originally started out "Heaven's Angels"...the origin of theirHA patch... all of the trouble he (they) got into...andthat "sting" towards the end of the book. Also how they onceratpacked Hunter Thompson... and many other interesting stories.
It's 255 pages, $14.00 at Borders Books... the book covers the very beginnings of the HA all the way to the day he transferred to the Cave Creek HA in the 90's after his throat surgery. It's all in chronological order.
Great book.

He did establish the Oakland Chapter, but local independent Chapters were in place in areas such as Fontana, San Francisco, and Gardena as early as 1948.
Here is some additional information:
"Some of the early history of the HAMC is not clear, and accounts differ. According to Ralph 'Sonny' Barger, founder of the Oakland chapter, early chapters of the club were founded in San Francisco, Gardena, Fontana, and other places independently of one another, with the members usually being unaware that there were other Hells Angels clubs."
