Never had a problem with the T-bags. You would be amazed at how much stuff fits in there. Love them...

You think the t-bags are something, you should see our bikes when we strap on the tent and sleeping bags. Unless you aren't going to change clothes, t-bags are a must in my book. We use a brand made by River Road on our bikes and much prefer them to the soft t-bags.

As seen in my sig pic. I have 2 bags plus saddle bags that I use on my long trips. A wideglide is top heavy any way. I am just careful to keep as much weight as low as possible. I have always believed in the old saying "Better to have and not need than to need and not have." I end up over packing. No problems for me though.

i used to use bags on my dyna for years, but got sick of straping them down. to much of a pain to take them on and off [:@]. plus my stuff getting soaked when i would get caught in the rain. so now i just install a custom tourpak on my dyna now. takes me less then 5 minutes to install. i love it, the oldlady loves the back rest. plus i put a nice tbag and my tent roll up on top of the tourpak also. the best part is when i get to the camp site or hotel, i just take it off and have my stripped down bike for the rest of the vacation. plus its waterproof . jackyl

5 minutes later, touring

Got a lot of miles with a T-bag, never had any negative effect on handling. Even loaded, it's not as heavy as a passenger. And packed right it does make a good backrest on a long trip.

Have been using my TBAG for 5 years now and it is fantastic.
No issues with safety at all sits no higher and weighs less than a paseenger would.
Very well built and I use the Roll Bag that came with it for daily use.
I do not want saddle bags on my Dyna, the TBag goes on and off
very quickly and holds alot.

Just want to get people's thoughts on "T-BAGS" or similar "sissy bar luggage" To me they seem very awkward, high and unsafe. It seems people pile this stuff miles high on the back of thier bike and not only does it look ridiculous, it has to drastically affect the way a bike handles and feels. I was always under the impression "low and balanced" was the way to pack rather than "high and precarious". It seems you would be better off with a large water proof bag tied low over passenger seat, rear fender of low profile trunk box. Anyway, I may be wrong and I am sure it depends on what kind of bike you have but it seems a good pair of leather saddle bags thrown over *** end of bike would be more "aerodynamic" than a large "sail" on the back of your bike. Just my thoughts.
