Non-Heated Glove Recommendations

RE: Non-Heated Glove Recommendations
Goretex is not really "waterproof," either. What happens, is the rain does not get to the inside, and your body moisture will breathe away, but the outer material itself will get waterlogged. I once had a pair of Goretex boots--biggest waste of money I ever spent.
But a problem with true waterproof, is they often do not breathe, so your body moisture will build up on the inner liner, but if they are waterproof they most likely will be windproof as well.

I have the FXRG Gloves, they are SUPER warm, & they are waterproof & windproof too! Plus they have a squeegee on them in case you run into some fould weather, it makes it a snap to clean off the face shield

I insert chemical heat packets inside my gauntlets. They're cheap, last for hours and sold athome centers and sporting goods stores. They're available for boots, too.

I believe snowmobile gloves, if you can stand the bulk, are the best. I remember my hands being hot while the temps were in the low 20's while riding a snowmobile. The small heat packs mentioned above would help your hands, except I'm not sure about your fingers.

Has anybody tried these handle bar wind deflectors? They're a little spendy and I hate to keep adding bagger stuff to my bike, but I'd take them off come spring.

Once I got heated gloves I never put the deflectors on. I have an Electra Glide now and it doesn't matter but it would cost me a cent to put them on and I still don't use them.

I'll second the FXRG gloves. Those are damm good gloves. Expensive -- but they are definitely my go to gloves.
I have the HD heated gloves and never really use them unless it is below freezing. In the 40's and up to 60's I use the FXRG gloves. They are all you need.

What a timely thread - I took my bike out in freezing temps on Thanksgiving. After about 10 minutes, I came back home. I knew it would be cold, but I underestimated! I could see my hands on the controls, but couldn't really feel them there.

Look at our Ultimate Glove, It's designed for year round use. Thinnest heatedglove on the market today.
One thing to remember is the thicker or bulkier a glove is, the easier your hands get cramped.
