$20,000 MC and this is the best they can do. What have other's done to make this area a little better looking.

Yup, as usual;..... totally cool question. Don't worry dude.

This is the only thing Harley sells.....

I think It looks pretty cool.

Oh, and before clicking the "new post" button, always good to forward your comment to your family lawyer; for checking, .........this can avoid much anguish.

Yep, that's what I did to my '04 Road King. I also added the matching nut just below the speedo and I think it looks great.
Ride safe and enjoy the bike.

too bad the 08 console won't fit on a older RK, the 6 gallon tank changed a lot. I guess it's time to upgrade again

you don't sound to old, you come on here snivling about a little screw and acting like it is a big deal,,What you didn't see it before you bought it??? get real, you bought a Harley, we all buy them and fix that kind of stuff without going on a forum and wining and crying about it..For God sake grow up..oh, and I don't give a rats Azz what kind of car you drive, my question is Do you ride your bike, or just wash and wax??? now go play in the sandbox with the other kids..[sm=boohoo.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Your right. Most of the time I ride it like this and wash and wax every chance I get.

To tell you the truth. I bought it sight unseen. Military Sales. I saw alot of pic's but none of the console as they only had 3 Harley's on the base I am at.

Not too old but, pushing 57. I am not wining and crying just trying to get some idea's on how to fix a design flaw. I got some good ideas so, I guess it's time to put this thread to bed.
Thanks again.

I have to agree, it does look kind of tacky. I hope you find what your looking for. Just because your right doesn't mean you have to come off with an attitude.
If your that old, maybe you should have bought a casket instead of the Harley.

You might be 57, but you put your pants on the same as everyone else in this world.

My other problem is if I wanted to play with the kid's on the block I would of gone to the sandbox.
THAT explains where the sand came from!

PS Go to Home Depot and get a screw you like.

Check this site out ... they've got all kinds of colored buttons and dots to dress up a bike ...

I put a colored seat bolt on my Heritage, and it looks pretty good. I've seen the little dots on a couple other bikes to help cover up ugly bolts. Something like this might fit over the one you're talking about ...

Well, I do have a Bimmer but, it's a cage. Very nice one too. My other problem is if I wanted to play with the kid's on the block I would of gone to the sandbox. Why is it so hard to post a simple question here. I don't like the ****ing philips head screw looking at me and just asked for some solutions to my problem. How the **** hard is that. I am too old for all this other ****.

Spend 20g's buying it spend another 2+ customising it! I don't know what I would have done if no one ever invented Hot Toppers! If they came already finished then the would all look the same and what a boring world that would be.

The only thing I like better than riding on my HD's is accessories them. You know how it is, you dont want to have the same thing as everyone else......I find it very pleasing changing stuff around....and then I may change it back after a while.....thats all part of the fun of owning a HD. I know I will never get my money back out of the accessories, but so what, I aint in this deal as a 401K. Its for fun......and I for one have a lot of fun just messing around with my bikes. Performance, functionality, style.....like the MOCO web site says....and for me it goes in that order.
