During the gas crisis of the 1970s the big thing was never to use more that 10% or your throttle travel and you would save big MPGs. Try it you will like it?...and cause excessive wear?...and still keep up with all of the minivans on their cell phones.

I agree. 2500 rpm seems to be the sweet spot for best gas mileage. That is why I set the cruise control at 70 mph in sixth gear, which is 2500 rpm. Anything more than that results in reduced mileage.[8D]
