Default i need help with 2" tank lift

i just installed a two inch tank lift on my 07 wide glide and the triple tree hits the tank. the lift looks great so i would like to leave it but not at the cost of a big dent in my tank. i would appreciate any suggestions. thanks in advance.

Have you tried loosening the rear mount bolt and see if the tank will move aft some? I oblonged my rear mount hole a little to line up the tank, thanks to HD welding the mount tab on crooked...Maybe you can get enuf clearence by oblonging the hole. My trees are close...

Exactly, grind out the hole for the rear tank mount so the tank will side toward the rear of the bike slightly. A fraction of an inch should do it. Watch the sparks!!![]

I have a '06 wide glide with the 2" lift and used a rat tail file on the rear holes. Had to file out about an 1/8", which gave me about 1/16" clearance between the tank the triple trees.
