Default need GPS unit-which one?

Looking for a GPS unit for my bike. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want a unit that I can move from one bike to another if I want or my truck. Good graphics is a plus too. Thanks.

i have a Garmin 2610. its out of production now, but is a great GPS.you can find them on the net for some pretty good prices. it has a sandbag that it mounts to with a power/speaker cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car, or you can get the mounts and cabling for a bike. I use it on my UC and also in rental cars when i travel. a great system.

I have a Garmin Zumo 450. It's specifically designed for motorcycle use. Garmin also makes the Zumo 550 which has bluetooth and comes with mount and adapters for use in cars.

My Zumo guided me through 2600 miles of roads I'd never travelled on during the summer and it never steered me wrong.

Cheers!

Go with the 550. It has all the mounting brackets and the car adapter. Worth the extra $$

Third for the Zumo 550...

Bought one because I could write it off ....hubby uses it probably 90% for work in his van the rest of the time it is on the bike. Worked awesome for the Pacific Rally rides.

I'll throw in another vote for the Zumo. Used it on a couple of trips and it came in really handy, plus with a ram mount it should be pretty easy to move from bike to bike.

Hubby uses a Garmin 660 on his Ultra with a ram mount & sun shade, works great. He is able to hear thru his speakers without any problems. Works great for any Ironbutt adventures

I have been looking at several different models. All of which are waterproof Garmins.

I have been looking at the Quest 2, Streetpilot 2820, and the Zumo 550. If is a link for a comparison chart. I hope this helps.

Click here --->Garmin Comparison Chart

Remember, do a search on the net. I have found each model for some pretty good prices.
