Default New Saddlebags

I'm looking to replace my Willie and Max bags with a larger set, made out of actual leather. They have served their purpose, but as usual, what you think will be the perfect item, soon leads you to the understanding that they should be a bit larger to carry all the crap I find myself with. Does anyone here have first-hand experience with bags from Leatherneck Jim? Someone recommended his site and the bags look awesom. They seen to be well made as well as not being too large or just plain fugly like some bags I've seen.

I'm not looking to spend $800.00 for a set of bags, I know Boss and others have really nice bags but they are pretty pricey. Just wondering if anyone has bought from Leatherneck.

Thanks.

Gary

Don't know about Leatherneck Jim, but I've got a set of Fat strap saddlebags From Second Story Leather. Found them at a local moto shop. Tested them by taking my leathers off and stuffing them in the bag (they fit). Throw over with zippers and snaps for quick removal and haveleather straps with quick release buckles.Have used them 2 years and they are starting to sag. I plan on taking them in for the winter, and starting a new hobby of oiling them until spring.

I have some of Leatherneck Jim's bags on my Low Rider. Top quality bags with about as much room as you can get on a Dyna without major mounting mods. He'll also give you a good deal on Easy Brackets. Him & his wife are great people to deal with - they really care about their customers.
Here's what they look like and the bag on the fender rack was custommade to match the bagsby him too:

They're the Black Thunders http://leatherneckjim.safeshopper.com/36/335.htm?509

Really like the box top lid. Keeping their shape & colorin spite of a lot of riding in the rain. Keep them treated with mink oil and Meguire's Leather Treatment.
