Fine, I'm a wimp, ***** or whatever else you want to call me, but -30 and 2 feet of snow is not motorcycle weather. That's why God invented the snowmobile.

Once the salt trucks start laying it down thats it for me, they put down so much salt around here the streets turn white.

End of riding season? .....................No such thing! There may be a short delay but I ride all year long.....screw it ! Dress accordingly and your good to go! Snow- been there done that although not a choice circumstance. Rain- you can only get so wet. The weather is never worse than the cure.

Mine is put to bed for a while. I usually put her away during hunting season, before the salt trucks come out to play. I was in the woods today, sitting on a log, when the itch to ride hit me. Must have been my position that just triggered it. Hopefully it will be a quick winter and warm March. Then again, I will take it back out when the salt and sand washes away. [:'(]

Last year we didn't park the bike until Dec 28, which is the lastest I've ridden on a regular basis, but we had an exceptionally nice Mn fall. Usually by Thanksgiving we've had enough snow that the salt trucks are out, and even if the weather gets nice the pulverized sand on the street is extremely dangerous to try and ride on.
Someone wants to call us posers for not riding in this?

I spent 25 years in the Phoenix valley and the heat never stopped me from riding. You just have to dress right like cold weather riding.
But here the weather is not that different and I ride all 12 months of the year. But this year I'll ride extra for those who cannot. ;-) Lowryder
