Speaking of black ice, do they salt the roads in your area? Up here, it's unreal. Your car is caked with it until spring.

 

I dont consider it a "END".. I consider my self "early" for the season to start!

 

I dont put the bike up until the roads have been salted. Then even after that if it hasnt snowed for a while and it has rained & i get a rare 35+ degree day ill take it out still! Maybe even colder this year, i got more cold weather riding gear

 

Salt is not good.
No sense to ride around in it.
Im done for the year.

I'm lucky enough to be able to ride year round, although i definately ride less as the temp drops.

 

When I am forced to put the bike away for a while I try to make an effort to ride the wife a little more often.

Helps with the withdrawl.

 

Wife and I loved Toronto. We used to live in subs of Detroit and would take the train from Windsor to your city for some neat week-ends. Last time was probably in the early 70's. I'm sure alot has changed since then.

This is one of the only reasons I love S.E. Texas we don't put the bikes up, we ride all year!!!!!!!!!!

 

Ride year round down here. They use sand on the overpasses not salt. Just like Summer though, there are certain days when I can't ride, but I do 99% of the time.

 

I ride year around. Luckly, it doesn't snow that much in East Tn. It sure does get cold though.
