You ask me what I like about Texas....I could tell you but it will take all day long!!!

 

My riding season ends December 31. The new season opens on January 1.[/align][/align]I work in the HVAC field and have more time to ride in the winter. If the roads are clear of snow I fire up the Gerbings and take the bike out. [/align][/align]Riding along looking at large snow banks on the side of the road is a blast.[/align][/align]Ride like every day is your last and don't worry about the bike.[/align]

 

It was 84* here today. It will cool off in the winter but not enough for me not to ride. I may have to put my under armor and leathers on but I ride.

Well lets see now. Today is November 13th. It was49 for the high and 33 for the low. At 70 mph it got a little cold, no windshield. At 50 it wasn't bad and at 40 I had a flat nice ride. When I was 13 and 14 we rode our bikes on the frozen pond. We found it worked best withboth feetdown all the time. Maybe it's a matter of how fast one rides not the tempreture?

 

Bike is officially "put down" for the winter, we get lake effect snow and it is not unusual to get 12" of snow or more at a time, and the roads pretty much stay white from the salt all winter. January brings a run of below zero temps.
I know my limits, and these conditions are way beyond them [:@]

 

This is for all you down south and out on the coast this is what we in the snow belt have to put up with all winter. Now you know why our blood pressure goes up every time we think about snow.

 

Was mid 80's here today(south Texas). We don't have many cold days. Layer up and ride all year.
