Pricing a bike for sale...

RE: Pricing a bike for sale...
Bluerose if I could just give you one example of what others are referring to
My 2003 Night Train (anniversary addition / whoopdy doo) which I have customized quite a bit
It was in Bike Of The Month two months back if you recall. I have over 45K in the bike and I'm
not even done yet, probably 55K at the end
I couldn't get fifty cents on the dollar if I wanted to or had to sell the bike, it's just the way it goes
Now if I happen to run accross that one individual who happens to like it as much as I do and has a
pocket full of cash then I may get lucky, most likely not.
Good luck with the sale and I hope you get a price you are happy with

She'll sell it
Look at this one on ebay, it's an 06 that bid up to over 21,000 but the seller wouldn't let it go...

Maybe some day you and others like you will learn how to post a URL properly, so people don't have to scroll back and forth across the page in order to read the posts. See where it says "link" above the box where you write your post? Guess what that's for. Meanwhile, you might consider going back into your post and deleting the two-mile-long URL you stuck in there, which has completely screwed up this page. And while we're at it, maybe an Admin could say something to all who don't use the message board correctly.

RE: Pricing a bike for sale...
Meanwhile back at eBay, that bike did not get bid up to 21,300, it had one bid.
My guess is it was the sellers bid or a friend of his.
If that bike is worth that kin of money, Bluerose's bike should bring 25.

RE: Pricing a bike for sale...
Well I'm thinking of selling my bike too. It's a 2001 Ultra.
Kelly Blue Book says $14,295
http://www.kbb.com/KBB/OtherVehicles...mp;YearId=2001
NADA says $13,799
http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...=MC&gtc=MC
I'm thinking of starting the bidding at $11,500 with no reserve, highest bidder takes it home. I do plan on stripping off everything I can except the engine internals, cams, pistons, juggs, and heads. I going to use the cash towards my business, with an eye on picking up an older bike later next year. I really want a 2000/2001 SE RoadGlide.
