I need to find a pic of a bike with that color. I'm tryingto explain it to a non-Harley person who isn't getting it. It's the red with a lot of orange in it. I'm pretty sure this the color...firemankrug's bike

hemi-orange is close to HD orange.

 

burnt orange was a custom color in 05 with VB. that had a quite the color mix. if you get a pic of it that would help alot

 

I first noticed the color in the 80s on Electra Glides. I don't think it's metallic, certainly not candy. I think it looks real mean on a bike with lots of black components...

The first bike you posted is one of the Firefighter Special Edition bikes, which I believe were first offered in 2002. Somewhere around2003 they adjsted a color in an attempt to get closer to"Fire Engine Red".In my opinion the current color is closer than that of the 2002's but they have still missed the mark.
