Ya from the replies so far nobodys Bashing them. Infact I think were all supportive of them since they are an American company. Thank God for choices , if I didnt have an HD Id have the Victory or Indianthats for sure.

I totally agree. I have owned 3 HD's. If HD wasn't around it would be Vic or Indian for me. The only rice grinder I will ride is my dirt bikes. (Are there any american made dirt bikes out there???) Nothing against foriegn street bikesthey are just not for me.

My brother has a customized 8-ball. Cool bike, but support sucks. If it wasn't for the internet, he'd never of been able to find a spark plug. A polaris dealer couldnt even help him out. Fast, but it just lacked a soul. Theres just something about taking a stock harley and making a bobber out of it. The bikes a part of you. No off the shelf custom feels right. I dont know, Im just ramblin.

I was seriously looking at Vic too, but I just couldn't make myself like the Kingpin. On the test ride I took, I wasn't all that impressed with the motor. It had a lot of bottom end, but just fell on it's face in the mid and top. The motor also had my hands buzzing in short order.
In the back of my mind was the fact that Polaris makes the Vic's, and I have a very negative view of their atv's.

Victory has some nice bikes. But they are more of a metric even though there an american co. If i remeber corectly the only thing metric on a Harley is the forks. I do like the new touring bike though, but havent rode one.

I love my HD but recently rode a friends Victory Kingpin and loved the bike. The fit and finish was fabulous- no bumpy welds any where on the frame- all was smoothed out and properly finished off. The guages were easy to read, the bike shifted well and handled great in the mountain twisties. The big motor gave plenty of power going up hill and had rapid acceleration. The Arlene Ness editons are just plain georgeous and all models offer a lot of accessories. I say hooray for choices. I just plain love almost anything on 2 wheels, irregardless of where it is made. I will never be so close minded to think just one brand of bike is the entire world.
