I was in Tennessee last week for work reasons. I rented a 07 Road King (both me and a buddy each rented one). I had a great ride and was impresssed with the 96" after 65 MPH. Under 65 MPH I really did not notice much difference. I did not really get to gain an opinion on 6th gear as I did not get to use it much. We rode the Dragon to Deals Gap. I loved the ride. I have to say I was amazed at the "noise" the new motor makes. Even if it is "Normal" it was way worse then I expected, even after the reviewsI read. My friend said the same. I have to admit, I would be very hesitant to buy one after riding in comparrison to my 05. They may be fine, but sounded like a fricken washing machine. Not what I expected. All in all I was a little disappointed. The HD dealer (west Knoxville) was GREAT!
