I got my bike in April of 05, but the rate was about 7% with no money down.

Yes, it is one and the same. My State Farm insurance agent set up the loan for me. Go to your agent and ask them about it. They have all types of loans, a credit card and retirement plans.

Be VERY CAREFULL here. By agreement with Eaglemark Bank (Harley) the dealer can AND will bump up the rate. Ask me how? I found out the hard way. Dealer told me I didn't qualify for the Harley prefered rate at the time, but could get me in at 11%. No way, so I started to walk, knowing my credit was ok. He checked again (wink) and came back with 10%. No way again. Got it a point or tow lower and I bit, cause the bike was in and I wanted it. Could have had 5.9% from my credit union, but they are slow and I jumped. Should have shot myself right then and there.

Anyways, bought a second 07 at another dealer 4months later for my Mrs, the MOCO had a special rate which I was given, no questions asked. Basicly the first dealer screwed me (somewhat my fault) and the second dealerare standup people. Granted the special rate was not available at the time I bought the first bike and that is not the problem. the problem here is that a lower rate (not special) was available when purchasing the first bike and the dealer lied telling me I had a credit problem, when none existed.

Just be careful when financing and REMEMBER....the dealer may discount in one area, but they always get it back one way or theother. Take your time, don't be in a rush like I was. Had I thought it out I would have sought financing somewhere else of paid for the bike cash. I learned from my mistake, hope this helps you out.
