Gloves and other cold weather stuff
I went for a ride and did ok in the 35 degree weather - but my fingers got cold - is there any gloves that really work well?
I have an ultra so the faring and heat from the engine keep me pretty toasty - its just thegloves that give me issues.

Clammy has the right idea - heated gloves. Any non-heated gloves thick enough to do a proper job are too thick to ride comfortably in. One thing that will help is to get a pair of the thin silk gloves and wear them under your regular gloves. That seems to help some and doesn't add that much bulk.

I have the same problem. They have what I want in Europe only. Still waiting for 8 hr recharge battery waterproof gloves here.

I bought the HD Gortex lined gloves. They are a bit thick, but not so thick that I can't operate the controls. I ride down in the 30's and my hands stay warm.

I got the Harley windshielder gloves. They work pretty well, but I'm sure they are not as good as heated. They keep me warm for about 45 minutes. Had to get used to them though, they are thick and the controls feel a little vauge at first.

Heated gloves or liners, and HD heated grips.............. total comfort.

I vote for the heated gloves, and heated grips....but only if you plan on hard touring in <40*F temps. If your just going to be going for the occasional weekend ride....."soft" touring I call it.....like rides of less than 4 hours total time, I think a good set of winter riding gloves, and a set of heated grips should do you good.
I recently bought a set of the Lee ParksDeersport PCi gloves from Fox Creek Leather, and I am more than happy with them.....even with the stock grips. In sub 40* temps though, my fingers do start to get cold after about a hour or so. A good set of heated grips is in order if I plan on riding long distances this Winter.
The Deersport PCi's are not cheep AT ALL(they are top quality though, and the type of glove that will last a VERY long time, and the design allows you to still have the dexterity, and tactile feel you need and want on a MC), but if used in concert with heated grips will get you through most anything

Just Buy a Heat troller and Y cable to run the gloves by themselves and you're all set.
Thinnest heated gloves on the market. They work great!!
