Default Tires

Can someone keep me from getting RIPPED OFF from the harley dealer who wants $180.00 + tax to mount two tires on a 2007 Streel Glide? I own the new tires already. ( just labor). I live in So. Jersey. I know there is a cheeper (FAIR PRICE) somewhere.
HELP,
Michael

Do a search on the internet or check the yellow pages. I'm sure there are other non-HD only shops in the are that'll do your swap for cheaper.

I paid $35.00 a wheel for mine with me taking the wheels off the bike. I'm sure you'll find cheaper that the "stealer".

Many independents will give you the best deal when you order the tires through them and have them mount them. They make a little bit on the tires (probably getting them from the same cheap source you did), and are happy to give you a package deal including mounting.

Try to find an indy to do it for you. My local indy charges me $30 per wheel to change....$95 if he removes the rear tire from bike.

I went to an independent and he put new tires on my bike cheaper than the dealership would have. I am going back to him for other work that I have in mind because of how fair he was with the tires.

There always is better places to go.The small shops can usually blow the HD shops out of the water.

Careful, some pro-HD guys will come in here saying that only a dealership can properly mount your tires. Hahahahah!

I pay $25 at the local indy to mount and balance when I carry in the wheel, front or rear.
