Canadians getting screwed again

RE: Canadians getting screwed again
I don't want to start wars over American Canadian border, but honestly, Canadians make much better educated choices when it comes to election time, and we pay much higher Gas prices, much higher taxes, so the reason the Canadian dollar is so high, is not because of wars (the US became a great power during WWII) it is because we don't import 600billion worth of stuff from China every year and not exporting anything.
We are not a nation of personal trainers, service personnel and financial advisors.. not just yet .
Back to the U$ .. I think HD will have to start Matching U$ prices if the CAD$ stays this high for 2 or 3 more months.
It is different now than before, 5 years ago nobody bought on cycle trader, or ebay, now people cross the border for significant savings, there is 2 companies in canada now that will broker/ship your bike for under 1000CAD$ from the US, so if cost you 1500$ to get the bike to your door, then I expect the canadian prices to come down fast.
Regards

I dont know about this whole Canada, US deal. I ship parts all over the world and the most difficult place to ship? Yep, Canada.
Taxes, duty fees, paper work etc, etc.
What a PITA.
The Canadians are great folks to deal with and I love to talk to them EH?
Our 2 Govts have to get this sorted out. You can DRIVE there for cryin out loud. Its the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of.

U.S. prices will continue their climb UP as the dollar continues it's decline. Yesterday, the dollar was at 75 and still slipping despite efforts of the privately run Federal Reserve to quell the descent.

The Boys at Gasoline Alley will honor any warinty regardless of where the bike came from, and if your going to buy in Alberta I would honestly tell you to consider them. I bought our Road Kings at Calgary HD and still have them serviced in Red Deer. (Red Deer didn't have the bikes that I wanted in stock.)
And I hear of guys buying bikes in the US, flying down there and riding them up all the time.
