At this time of year, make sure you pack warm clothes! Have fun and stay safe.

Cheers!

The Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia is a nice ride. As Clammy said, pack warmly. I'm from the island east of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland. Nice riding, but as a friend told me once, "we have 10 months of winter and two months of bad ski-dooin". Gettin cold there this time of the year. 1 degree celius in the capital of Newfoundland last I checked a hour ago.

Acadia National Park in Maine is beautiful especially the view from Cadillac Mountain.

I'd stick to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia this late in the year. I'm in New Brunswick, which you'll pass through as you leave Maine, great scenery this time of year, but as the guys said, it's getting cold (not quite as bad as gunner has it in Newfoundland) , dress right and and you can have a good trip for a few more weeks. The Fundy Trail in New Brunswick is great riding, the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia is also one of the best. Now if you were coming in the spring, I'd say don't miss Newfoundland, great place to visit and some good riding. I'd also say the same about PEI, this time of year, I honestly don't know if it would be on my list, just too cold and flat.

And watch out for moose if you're traveling at dusk and later. Some guy hit one here on his bike last week. Only has a 30% chance of living. Be careful and ride safe.

Make sure you have rain gear with ya. once you get into the mountains even if it's a nice day, you can get wet. It has been very dry this fall season though so you might be in luck!

Take lots of pics too!

You are brave to take off this time of year with the changing seasons. It is beautiful country out hear. Most of Rte1 at certain times of the day can be a real pain.If that is not a concern to you there is a lot to see riding the coast of Maine especially in the fingers area Georgetown Boothbay Harbor, Bristol,.Good Luck and have fun.
