I remember years ago a semi driver pretended to deliver gas, but instead was siphoning. He would do it at night when the station was closed.The story was used as the basis for an episode of CHiPs.
Farmers often have the problem of kids stealing gas. When I was a teenager, atownkid a year older than I filled his Chevelle up with diesel. He made it about a mile.....

Gibson outfitted a stolen box trailer with tanks able to hold 3,250 gallons and with a trap door underneath, police said.
I don’t think the axles on this little trailer would support that much weight.
Very sneaky this man was indeed for ten months. That’s a lot of savings for a towing company. Wow.

It's always weird to me to hear about old people doing this stuff. Shouldn't they just be old and taking their grandkids fishing or something?
