Default passenger floorboard fell off

Went for a ride today on 07 ultra. I stopped at a red light and my passenger floorboard fell off. Picked up parts and the bolt that holds it on was broken. No reason for this, no damage. Dealer gave me another bolt as I said I would fix it myself. Did make him give me two to replace the other side. weird huh?

that has happened twice to me. once I put the floor board down and it fell, broken as you said. other was after my S/O was onboard and fell to ground. These are grade 8 bolts. My S/O is heavy I must admit but you would think a grade 8 bolt coult handle a 110lb passenger.

Reminds me of a joke I heard several years ago. I was told that the reason they put the huge saddlebags and trunks on Goldwings was to pick up all of the Harley parts that vibrated off!!

My passenger floorboard also fell off on a cross country trip this summer. I was pulling into a rest area and it just fell off. Luckily I was going slow. The bolt broke in half. I went to the closest Harley dealer(Roughrider in Mandan, ND)and they fixed it under warrenty in 20 minutes.

Cheapo Chinese bolts is what I was told.

My left rear passenger floorboard and Kuryakyn adjustable peg fell off running down the road at about 45mph...the noise almost scared me to death...the bolt you could tell had been broken in half and I guess it just gave out after a while...scratched both of them pretty bad...

My wife used the Kuryakin adjustable peg to climb aboard, and it broke the arm of it. Made from pot metal. She must have stepped on the very end of the peg causing a bending stress outward.

Last Monday my headlight lens shattered. No apparent rock or other impact showed on the glass. It didn't fall apart, just crazed it. Shop says they've never seen that before. They fixed it for free.

My headlight lens did the same thing. They blamed it on a rock. I don't think so, anyway it cost me $100.00
