I change all 3 of mine at 3000...just makes me comfortable...

Runnin dead dinosaur, I changed engine oil every three thousand, and tranny oil every OTHER oil change (so every 6k).

 

I also did the forks at 5K. That was some pretty nasty gunk that came out. Plus I went with a 15W and no longer wonder the folloing...

You never know if the guy filling up the fluids...
A) Is hung over from the night before
B) Looks at his watch and says quitin'time...
C) Actually cares and did it right.

 

First, I use Amsoil, and change it at 2500 miles. Overkill, but worth it to me. No, the MOCO can not void your warranty for using any brand of oil you want, as long as it is the viscosity they recommend. If they give you crap about it, show them this... http://www.dynosources.com/dept.asp?d_id=203&l1=203 Basically it reads that unless they supply the oil, for free, they can not void your warranty for choosing your own brand. This holds true for any other modifications you might want to do to your bike. They have to be able to prove that any mod done is the reason for you to need warranty work done. BTW.

 

i dont think this has ever came up before . for at lease the last couple of days any way.ok some change at 2500 miles some change at 5000 miles some use mobil some use h.d. dino some use amsoil some use s.e.3 its ok everybody i'm ok should i go to the oil filters at this time or next day.everybody has a differnt thought about there oil and the best thing about it all . is nobody is wrong so the bottem line is this . change when you want. and use what you want and you will be fine .i'm sorry i lost my oil for few there.

 

engine oil every 2500, if you change it that often no need for syn.&nbsp\\; Tranny and Primary every 5K.

 

all three every 5000 miles here.

 

Mobil 1 vtwin engine &amp\\; primary. Mobil&nbsp\\; 1 75-140 in the trans. Engine @ 5k.&nbsp\\;Trans &amp\\; primary @ 10k or once a year.
