quick release is always a dead give away that the helmet is not DOT approved.

I cut off the quick release of my helmet. Didn't like the look of it. I use the rings, but don't take the strap fully out when taking off the lid.

Harley sells a Modular helment with flames thats made by AVG. It has quick release. Its the only way to go. If you like D rings why don't you have them in yer car for yer seat belts.
I will not use anything with D rings. Cut the D rings off and use Velcrow on the straps.

I agree with drharrison.I've spent a couple minutes trying to get the stupid quick release fastened. The one on my bike helmet is a lot better. I'd get rings.

My DOT approved quick release helmet works great and is comfortable.

I have the D-rings on mine and NEVER undo them. I can slip the helmet on and off my head with them still done up and then just snug them up once I've got it on. On my ACC the D-rings are up the left side and are quite small so they are difficult to use. It's real easy to snug them up or slack them off.

ORIGINAL: Dinger

I got used to the quick release. It's easy totake the helmetoff.

I keep it connected when putting it on. Just slip the strap over your face and under your chin.
if you can take it on and off with the quick release connected, wouldn't you think the helmet could just as easily come off when the bike goes down?
