Today I received the replacement True Dual Exhaust Tips from Bub Enterprises. They were very easy to work with and made it very easy to return the old tip back to them. My pipe were two months out of warranty but they replaced them anyway. Just want to give them some positive feedback.

 

yeah? I wasjust at the limit of mywarranty and they told me there's nothing they can do about the scaling on my heatshields and because they were welded onto the pipes I'd have to buy a whole new set, that I just couldn't replace the shields. So, one year old BUB stubbies, look like schitt, and I have to buy a new set..........nice. Guess you got lucky.

Thee tipsturned redish/purple color, I guess alot of people have the same problem with them .

 

My tips have done the same thing. I need to give them a call and will let you know how they handle it.

 

What I do not understand is 'why' the tips discolor...what did Bub/Rinehart do to fix the problem? Will replacement tips simply discolor after the warranty runs? Rinehart should tell us they've 'solved' the issue...not just deal out replacement parts in the warranty window.

Thats a good question, I did notice the original tips had a bunch of 3/8" holes drilled into the front side of the tips and the replacement tipsare solid metal.That isthe only obvious difference.

 

how old are your pipes? i just got mine in june...so i'll have to keep an eye on them.

 

My pipes were installed in August 2006. They turned colors around ten months or 8,000 mi.
