I think it might be the fact of the price of a Harley. There's not too many 19 year olds that I know that can afford a HD. Buying a crotch rocket is much more affordable.

 

Only 19 and already have a Harley, I think that's very Cool indead. I had to wait quite a bit longer than that before I could get my Harley. I understand about riding alone, I have done it most of the time. You have been given some good advice about finding some older riders to learn a few things from and also learn a little more about the biker scene. I hope that you are able to get in with the right group and then you will start to enjoy the company of fellow Harley lovers. Wish that I lived closer, I would be happy to ride with you. Ya I let my girlfriend ride on the back whenever she thinks that it is not too cold, which seems to be to often.

I am in the DFW area. Send me a pm if you want to ride sometime. I usually am limited to weekends due to work. I also hate the cold weather, but have the appropriate gear. I'm 45, but the common bond of a Heritage crosses all age boundries. We are close to the DFW airport. I find also that most riders are even older than me!!
