I do it quite often anything between 30 mph and 100 mph Good birds pretty much sumed it up
but I can see it now a new thread starting
"I was so dumb to try and ride with one hand I wrecked my bike"
in other words do try it unless you are comfortable with your bike and the road you are on

I tried it, but whenever I put my hand on your wifes leg she slapped me!...[:@]
On open roads I lock the throttle and ride with left, right, or no hands. On cold winter days its great to warm the hands on the rear jug or anytime just to rest.
I also find its comfortable to lay my hands accross the tops of the grips and levers.
Its never happened to me, but as smooth as these bikes are on the highway it would be real easy to fall asleep listening to the motor...
