Yeah, I'm familiar. That is one of the things I miss about Michigan, straight roads. There isn't anything straight here in Georgia. But, I traded straight roads for riding all year though.
Help me understand this. You ride a motorcycle and you missstraight roads.

If you think about it, at highway speeds and baring any unexpected emergency, the handle bars are not good for much more than just hanging your hands on them in the first place.

Yes, I do it all the time. Years ago I saw a guy with his legs up, feet resting on the handlebars. hands folded behind his head, resting on his backrest. He passed me on the freeway! I'll never forget it!

Yep, do it all the time on the highway, set the cruise and alternate hands on the grips. Keeps me comfortable.

I often ride with only one hand. And have been doing the no hands thing for a little while. I like to see how long I can do this, and at what speeds. Mind you, I only do the no hands on roads I frequently travel.
