Default lower softail

anybody installed a lowering kit on a softail rear
how much work how hard and how is the ride when
lower 1 or 2 inches.

not sure what year you have, but I lowered my '93 softail, pretty much to as low as it would go (have the adjustable shocks). I thought the ride sucked stock, so it's not terribly different, but if you hit a pothole or anything it just feels like there's no suspension.

Go mair ride my friend . Ihave an 1987 fxstc and bought the progressive kit with athe on board compressor .
great ride and adjustability on the fly .

my ride is a 04 standard
just want the adjustable mount bolt kit don't want to spend the 700-1000 for the air shocks.

the problem is that when you do a drop the ride does suffer . I put the shock extensions on mine first and couldn't stand riding it . I know it is a bit expensive but well worth it , and it is cool when you pull up to park and dump the air out and it slams down .
