How Many Prefer Solo ?

RE: How Many Prefer Solo ?
I tried a bunch of group rides this summer.. some were ok, but most sucked. Overnighter to Delmarva? Definitely never do that in a group again. WOW. The trend is back to solo. Too many people means too much drama. Me and Mama is perfect most of the time, but some times, just good to be by myself. More freedom.

RE: How Many Prefer Solo ?
My bike is not set up for passengers and I rarely ride with a group. It's nice to ride with others sometimes and talk about the ride when you stop to eat or whatever. I like talking to other riders and checking out bikes, but I usually ride on my own schedule and meet up with them somewhere.
Like others have mentioned, the key to an enjoyable group ride is having everyone on the same page as far as riding style (speed) and frequency of stops, etc.

I get something enjoyablefrom solo riding and riding with groups- just different things.
I like the social/friendship aspect of riding with a group and meeting new folks as well. One thing about Harley riders- there's usually an interesting story or 10 to be told.
I like the solitude aspect of riding solo where I can go where I want, when I want and at whatever pace I feel like riding that particular day.
