Default Motorcycle Jack

I just found out that my wife is planning to buy me a Sears Craftsman 1500 lb. jack for Christmas (grown kids are great for espionage). Before she buys it in a week or so, does anyone have any positive or negative feedback regarding this jack? It's a #50191. Thanks.

SEARS always has good products IMO -- the nice thing is - SEARS policy is 100% satisfaction or your money back!

I just purchased one of those myself the other day. I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, I'll respond back once I do and let you know. It does however look to be well built.

I really like mine. Easy to use. The cautions would be, set-up. Be sure it's setting on the frame well. SLOWLY let it down. I find it so stable that I don't always use the tie downs.

Nothing particular other than I'm just the nervous type and always feel best when the bike is on the ground. I always make sure I have someone around to watch the placement of the pads and to help secure the bike until it is in the air. I never leave it up any longer than i need to. Just common sense is all you need. I always keep the stand down while I'm raising it too, just in case she starts to go over, you've got the old jiffy stand for a spotter ! You'll be fine, just be careful is all. After you've done it a few times, you'll find the "sweet" spot to position the jack.

Like others here I also have the same one. Wondered how I did without after using it. As others have said, just use your common sense when jacking up the bike. Apart from using it to service the bikes it's great for washing and detailing. Gets the tires off the ground to make it easier getting the whitewalls clean snd the spokes shined up.
