RE: Motorcycle Jack
SMenasco,
The model # you posted is the newer, yellow Sears lift...
I've got the same one and it works great on my Heritage. The only issue I've had with it is how touchy it can be when lowering. A little twist releases a lot of lift in short order!
It is nothing bad, just something to be aware of...

RE: Motorcycle Jack
whats up fellas I dont currently have a jack but to fix the fast lowering problem is hard mentally but easy when you tighten the handle to jack the bike up you are probably putting alot more pressure then is required there for when you go to loosen it it is tight and you release to muc. With the hydrolics you just need to go snug with little effort. There is another post discussing the two sears jacks from a couple months ago if you do a search one guy says the cheaper model lets down when you leave it up too long.

RE: Motorcycle Jack
I bought mine a year ago, No complaints here. I use it for detailing and fluid changes. Don't know if I would perform any major work with it but it's good for what it is.

RE: Motorcycle Jack
I have one of the atv/motorcycle lifts from sams, bought it a few years ago $65.00 used it mostly on the atv's working on them, now atv's are gone and i'm using it for my EG while doing fluid changes and other maintance /cleaning. I'd really like a lift table like the mechanic's use,to pick the bike up higher, making it easier to clean the bike.
very stable lift, picks my EG up with little effort, locks in a few different heights
and the release could be smoother but works fine.

RE: Motorcycle Jack
Have the Sears jack and love it. I have a lowrider so I just run the front tire up a ramp and put the sidestand on two 2x4's, then put the H-D adapters in place and jack up the bike. Piece of cake!

RE: Motorcycle Jack
Harbor Freight has one that looks just like the Sears unit except different paint. I've noticed both Sears and Harbor Freight periodically put them on sale.

That seems like a good price. If it works like the Sears unit.
I bought my cordless impact gun from Habor Freight and no problems at all. Same with the set of sockets I also got.
Iam heading to Sears today and do a little "hands on" shopping. If it doesn't appear any different and is way more than the $59.95 price, I'll have to think this one thru at Happy hour[8D]
