Default Road King Or Road King Classic?

Which model do you prefer? I like the metal saddle bags, but also the leather ones are pretty good.
I prefer the HD badge of the classic instead of the other (on the tank).
What's more, if I would apply some colour shop on the Road King, it could be extend also on the saddle bags (look at this great style!)

What about you? Which Road King do you prefer?

Depends on the look you like.I was dead set on a Heritage Classic but wanted to go with a tourer.I went with a Roadking Clasic due to the nostalgic look. To me, ther's no comparison! The leather bags are are little problematic if it rains and have to be retrofitted with locks but other than that it does the same thing and looks wayyy better(IMHO)

I have a rk custom, with the their style of leather bags. They are okay. My wife really likes the hard bags, but I liked the overall look of the rk custom to the rk standard or rk classic. I added locks to the bags, and they work well. But, IMO, if you are going to go with a custom paint job, the look of painted hard bags is far better looking. Again, JMHO. In the future, when these bags wear out, I will get hard bags, but I can't see forgoing the money for something that I have that works just fine.

It's fairly common for RKC owners to put on the hard bags. Expensive though. You can work off part of the price by selling the RKC bags on Ebay though.

Road King Classic... liked the leather bags, but the main thing was the Cruise Control.... I know you can add it on the Standard, but I just didn't wanna do that.

when I bought my classic the cruise was not an issue With or W/O. Man I am sure glad it has it. The looks of the leather bags are great when new. But after a little wear n tear Oh well you know. Good Luck on your decision JimmyZ
