Tubes and Wire Wheels

RE: Tubes and Wire Wheels
Some tires are both tube and tubeless. These are non radial tires. This is where people get confused. A tube should not be used with radial tires because a radial tire can generate heat and damage the tube. If you have your rim sealed you can run any tire (no tube) The reason people want the tubeless option is because there are many more tire sizes in the tubeless type.

Yea, i know.
I just know what i like, i.e. the dropped centered rim, etc., so I accept the limitations, because spokes just "do it" for me!

RE: Tubes and Wire Wheels
I had a flat on my rear wheel, pulled the tire and tube and found another tear in the tube, not where the nail was, i was riding for months with the inner tube punctured and the tire holding air for all that time, the spoked wheel held the air. If I didn't get the nail in it, I probably would have rode it for years!!!
