Harley Brothers
so i was outside my dorm last night just hanging out, im in college studying mechanical engineering. my dorm just happens to be next to all the fraternities who party every night, which is fine with me, they can do whatever they want. until they start thinking they own the world. my dorms parking lot is right next to the frats and they have been breaking into cars lately. not taking anything, just breaking in for the hell of it. im guessing they were drunk, but its been happening more and more lately. anyway a bunch of drunk frat guys were telling me to **** off one night or they would kick my ***. mind you all i did was walk by to get to my dorm. so i laughed it off cause i figured they were drunk and had no idea what they were doing. me laughing must have pissed them off cause they preceeded to tell me that they are in a fraternity (as if i didnt know), and all their brothers would back them up in a fight. well im not one looking for trouble, and deffinitly not against an entire fraternity. but it made me wonder. a lot of the guys i talked to when i started riding my Harley said "welcome to the biggest and baddest fraternity of brothers", refering to guys who ride Harleys. if a friend of yours or even a stranger who lived near you was to get in some trouble that wasnt his fault. would you ride over and back them up? i have heard of this happeneing before, Harley riders stick together. but i am just curious as to if it is true. just curious

I say sue them for assault. Just make you have wittinesses, when they beat the crap out of you.
That will definitely make mommy & daddy happy.

You have just described the gang mentality.
fight one, fight them all, right or wrong.
Motorcycle gangs or street punks or fraternity brothers....they are all the same, just a different venue.
Lifelong cyclists have been fighting that image forever.
There's a difference between stepping forward and stopping a fight, or jumping in and escalating it "just because."

I'll bet if it came down to it, most of those frat boys would sit there pi$$ing their pants if an actual fight came on. Most that I remember from college were a bunch of pansies anyways.....just paying for instant friends after all...If someone had said that to me ("all my frat buddies would jump in and save me"), I probably would've laughed, called the kid a pu$$y, and asked if he had enough ***** to actually fight someone himself, or was he going to run and cry behind his 'friend's? (Never been accused of being subtle I have to admit.....)
Would I defend a friend in a fight? Yes (and I have before), but if it's one on one, equal grounds (fist fighting, etc.), I'd probably stay out of it. If another person (or group) decides to jump in, then I would definately jump in!
