On any slight incline, always in gear. on a level surface, I will sometimes put in neutral.I always pull in the clutch no matter what when I hit the start button.

Never in gear unless on a hill, I like to walk up and fire it up to warm up a bit while I'm getting my gear on.

This is about what I do. I dont think about it too often....99% of the time I leave it in first and when I go to start it, I just roll it back and forth to shift it back into N.....pull in the clutch and hit the button.

Also when I shut it down.....I always use the kill switch on the bars and not the ignition switch. I do switch off the ignition, but only after I have already shut down with the kill switch.

In gear.
It's a habit from childhood, and menot wanting my dirt bikes to roll when I lean them against something after I walk away.

on my first day bringing mine to my school, i got outside after and found some punk sitting on it and rolling it backwards becuase i left it in neutral, i almost beat the crap out of him, but i remembered when i did that to a harley i saw once as well.

now i leave it in gear, no one at my school rides or knows how to change gears, so if they get on they cant roll it away.

if i stop at a store that i know i will be out of in 5 minutes, i leave it in neutral and park on a level space, makes leaving faster.

Always in gear.

As someone else already has asked, why neutral? Why do those of you who leave it in neutral do so?
