Call me RUB ,Poser,Wannabe, Gay,...I wear fingerless gloves, chaps, zip up boots, carry hand sanitizer. I could realy give a **** what people call me , I own and ride my HD whenever I want and where I want, It's all about the ride not a title.
I find that the wipes in the little packets are more convenient than bottled hand sanitizer. At least when on the bike.IMHO

There is this "us" versus "them" mentality that pervades society.

Some bikers choose to be critical of cagers.

Some Harley owners choose to be critical of Honda owners.

Some Dyna riders choose to be critical of Softail riders.

I'm just glad that the mentality only applies to some of us. Lots of nice folks out there.

Why am I called a RUB? I have owned a HD bike since 2000. First bike was a 2000 1200 custom. Currently own a 2004 Fatboy and a 2007 Street Glide. My family has always been a HD family. Dad had a 61 FLH duoglide that some of you helped me identify here. My brothe has had a couple of Sportsters and now owns a 2005 fatboy.
Do you drink HD coffee?
Do you wear HD socks?
Do you have to jump start the bike before you go for a ride because it's been so long the battery is dead?

If you'd like, you can send the 'R' part over my way and just be a urban biker...

Ok, we know what RUB means.

The intended use of the phrase is not for some one who is well off financially, lives in the urban sprawl and rides when he can, it was intended for thoso who buy a custom bike, spend a fortune on all the H-D apparel, image stuff, home accessories, the decals for the SUV etc and drives his SUV to the bar, or whatever wearin his/her H-D apparel and has the bike in the garage brags about it, but rides it about 3000 miles a year because it is just too uncomfortable to ride any real distance. But it looks cool.
Also, RUBs trailer their bikes to meets, rallys events and ride from the trailer to the event (2 miles).

The fact you have two H-D's does not make you a RUB. It makes me jealous

But you have a Honda Accord???? And you are serious? Well there is no way you are a RUB, you need an SUV or SUV crossover.

My 2 cents.
