I know the wait with these guys is typically longer, but...

My CH account says "all parts special ordered". Can I count on any updates from them or will the stuff just show up at my door in 3-4 weeks?

Fortunately, I'm not in a major rush to get the parts

 

I ordered a complete set of manuals for my new (used) 2002 Ultra Classic from Chicago Harley on August 22nd. The very next day, my account on the Chicago Harley website was updated to show these items to be special ordered. I received all the manuals last Tuesday, but the website STILL shows them on special order.

If you sign into their site, they have a list of backorders that gives you the status. If it is merely ordered from HD, that is not in stock but NOT backorderedat HD from the actual supplier, the delay is usually not more than a week. I order from them all the time and have never had a problem with them. Did take along time to get some split vision mirrors that HD had on B.O. but they tracked them and kept the site updated properly.

Yes. Majored in the classics playing wind instruments in college, but my true love is rock. Only instrument I have left is aguitarfor those "throw-back" moments. I can no longerappreciate the finer points ofmusic now, so I just play itLOUD.I do, however, get a real chargeout ofthe "audiophiles" on this forum discussingthe sound systems for these bikes. It's not a concert hall, people.
