Ditto!!! If I add up the total the wife might see the figure and we know what direction that would go...

I've determined chrome is sold by the pound and based on my purchases I estimate the market price is $100-$150/lb. Remember, a HD isn't a complete motorcycle, it is a starter kit. You gotta add the finishing parts.

Wow,

I thought I was the only sick one out there!!! Ordered bike ('05 Fat Boy)in April by the time it arrived I had $4,000 in parts piled up to put on it. Since then have spent an additional $2,000 and am working to save another $2,000 to complete it ( yeah right). Seems every cataloge I look at I find a new toy/trinkit/accessory that I gotta have. Good thing is I have lost a bit of weight do to cutting food cost to buy parts.

See you all in line at the nearest Harley Shop/E-Bay/J & P Cycles, ect......

A buddy of mine who will be painting my new Dead Center Cycle "detachable / locable" fairing, say's that I'm going through a Mid-Life thing. Its natural and well all go through it. I'm waiting for the part that you "date YOUNG women" to kick in then I'll be cooking on gas!

I've spent about $2000 extra on my Softail, but I only buyeither used parts on ebay, or wait for a 15% or better discount at the dealer to buy anything. Once riding season starts again, I'll be done until it ends. Money is then spent on gas, and T shirts at the dealerships you ride to.

Way too much $ to think about. But think about this....... if not on your scoot you would just waste it on mortgage, food, kid's clothing and junk like that. Where is the logic in that? I say keep on spending because at least unlike taxes, you know exactly where your money is going.
