DOT 1/2 helmet is all I own. Thinking about a full face for when it gets cold enough.

 

Shoei full face and just got a Nolan flip up (its nice to be able to open it up at a red light to talk to firends). For 30 years nothing but a 3/4 but after a 7,000 mile trip with a full face I'm hooked. Put the 3/4 on awhile back, went 10 miles and came back home and got the full face. I'm just more comfortable in it..and yes I can hear and see just fine. If I'm at bike week I will ride some without one (nice when just putting down the street but think its sucks at 80 on I-95.)

I have a Scorpion EXO-200 3/4 helmet and I really like it. I also have an EXO-400 full face for the really cold days. Both are great helmets.

 

I wear HD 3/4 Jet II. I just bought it this past summer. Never gave the 3/4 helmets a look until i tried one on. I really like it. Gives you the same peripheral vision as a 1/2 with more frontal protection. Also have aHD FF for really cold weather.

 

I have 3, a Fulmer, a THH, and a Vega XTS all half helmets. The Vega only gives me a semi mushroom head. I can't wear a full face.

 

i always had a full face since my sportster cause i never had a windshield but now that i bought my softail custom im getting a detachable sheild so ill be getting a half helmet then. gotta love the full face in the colder weather, does a lot.
