When I wear a helmet (which isn't very often, ususally cold weather) it is a black full face Nolan (or is it Noland?) with an orange HDF decal across the back
. One of those helmets that the whole front flips up. I really like it when it is really windy or cold. With my itty bitty windshield it makes riding much easier in inclimate weather. The other 360 days out of the year I go "bald".

The wife and I wear DOT half helmets, and will every time we ride from now on. We had a bad crash in may 05 in Myrtle Beach. I still have not been able to go back to work yet due to my injuries. I still believe in a riders choice, I just know what my choice will be from now on. Just my 2 cents though.........

I have a half lid that I bought through J&P cycles that is DOT and is black with flames that I wear when the weather is warm, otherwise it's a FULMER fullface in black. Lately, I've actually become used to the full face and may stay with it. I really like the idea of being at my daughters graduation with my face intact.......[&:]
Come on guys, get REAL. Riding without a helmet is just plain STUPID. Riding without a fullface helmet is dumb. So you care how you look? Wait until you can't go into a restaurant without people staring at you because you have no face!!!
You don't like it? Oh well. I'm full face from now on!!!!

I'm a rookie, and I try to be careful.
I'm very concerned with motorcycle safety.
In Italy homologated helmets are mandatory.
They don't have to be full face, but believe me: use only full face helmets.
I know. They are not fashionable on a HD, but safety is above fashion.
I know people who seriously injured themselves due to a partial helmet, and people who survived barely only because they were wearing a full face.
You can't know against what you'll be hitting your head, and with what part of the head you may hit.
Convertible helmets are just not strong enough to actually protect you should you slam your face into something. They are just good to keep you warm and keep the air and insects off your face.
Half helmets and worst the saucer-like stuff you often see around are worth nothing. They can barely protect the back of your head.

Half helmet. Full face helmet much better, but way to "HOT" for me. I`ve tried and tried to wear them. NO CAN DO!!!![:@]
