A whole-hearted endorsement for the MSF School
Yesterday,
While going for my first real ride in the hills. About 50 feet from the start of the back roads, some fool came blaring out of a driveway right in front of me.
Didn't matter I was a bike, he wouldn't have seen a semi!
Anyhow, panic stop, wet ground, man-hole.. EEP!
Bike went a bit sideways, back tire locked, front tire skidded for a second and I handled it perfectly. I didn't even have to think about it. They went over that stuff so much in class, it was natural for me.
I'm so glad this happened. I feel much better about my abilities now.
I never could have done it without the class. Shoot, my friend I was riding with saw it all happen and now he's signing up for the class. He's been riding 20+ Years.
Oh, and to top it off, I was in 1st gear when I stopped and was able to get out of the way of the car behind me that was too close to start with.
Ya, I know.. old hat for a lot of you guys, but I'm pretty stoked! Had to share with someone.. my wife just wouldn't appreciate that story. (she's still in denial that there is a bike in the garage)

that is true about the class but the worst of it is if that guy would of ran over you he would have got by with it .i dont know if the class had said anything about they are also involed a thing called justice for all that the A.M.A is pushing to have these kind people who do this stupid cramp pay there dues instead of getting away with if you think i'm jokeing about this go to there website there is stories in there about riders just like you where a women back out of her drive way and ran over a biker and basicly got by with it. between class and luck knock on wood.
