Howdy,

Just booked a hotel for Friday night!!!!

The Red Roof In is just off of 17/50 and is near the airport and Grove H-D.
Booked off of Expedia.com and received a rate of $80.99 total. The wife will be happy, no camping.

ORIGINAL: Monstermile

Just got off the phone with Rob (Tow) a bit ago. If it ok with everyone we are going to bypass Skyline Drive because of the possible poor conditions. We are going to set up a nice 200-300 senic drive in the area. Rob is going to plot it out this weekend. But if everyone is still insistent on the Drive then we can add that into the mix. Just voice your feedback so we know.

Meeting time is going to be 10am at Groves HD in Winchester.
Sounds great to me! I have a free day and nothing scheduled on the Flying roster so I will be there ready to ride. I just landed after a brief flight over the Blue Ridge there are already some golds and yellows and oranges starting to pop out on the trees. Should be perfect for the fall colors by next Saturday.

See some old friends there and look forward to meeting many new ones.

I think I feel a stomach ache coming on.

I am definately in, just not sure what my plans are at this time for the link up. You and Ol Biker make your plans and I will let you know if I can make it or not.

I'm definitely in, and won't be riding bitch I will be riding the new scoot though, old one still out of commision.

Sorry to hear you won't be makin it Eastern...my ego's gettin too big again and could definitely use some deflating

Ol Biker and Firestarter...you want to do the same as last time and meet up at East Coast and ride out together?

Last time we all rode out, some of us hooked up at the Sheetz and rode out to Grove's, we planning on doing the same thing this time, or just hook up at Grove's?

The route don't matter too much MM, so long as we're riding.

I think we should still try to hit Skyline this weekend. I was just out there with the family this past weekend and leaves are starting to change and there were a lot of bikes out. We went in at Thorton gap (mile 30) and stayed at Big Meadows Lodge (mile 52). The roads were fine in this stretch, no construction.

If the road work is on the south end we could enter at Front Royal and run to Thorton Gap (30 miles) or even down to Swift Run Gap (about 60 miles) and we should be OK. As I was up there taking the curves in the cage, I was thinking what a great ride it is going to be this weekend.

Just my two cents, anyway I'll see you all at Groves on Saturday

I was thinking the same thing, actually,

Run the Skyline till the gravel problem.

I have been telling the wife all about Big Meadow and Skyland, would really like to hit those two,

Just my 02 cents,

Ok, the plan is set, Scott aka "cst101" bailed me out today.....work has been crushing me & he offered to draw up the map document. We had talked earlier & set a route, with 2 alternatives, so I will E-mail it to the group, if I don't have your address shoot me a PM & I will send it to ya.

The longest of the rides would be a little over 300 miles, so we would need to get our asses on the bikes promptly & not fck around w/the cantaloupes....LOL. This ride would take us to Shenandoah H-D which is one of the nicest dealers around. It's where I bought my Street Glide, so I get a discount if I bring new peeps there......lmao. j/k !!!!!
