Gents, It sounds like there are 2-groups here. One that is starting at Skyline drive and the second consideringpicking upthe BRP futher south. I've heard there's a lot of congestion onSD in early October. I would like to pick up the BRP in Waynesboro and put in about 2 days riding south. If there is a ride organizing for Nov I would surely like to be incuded.

I'd be in for a 2 day or longer ride. I'm going to be on vacation already anyway and would be all about a ride.

I rec'd this E-mail from the park regarding a the resurfacing/gravel problem people are complaining about:Shenandoah National Park did a surface treatment project on Skyline Drive
between Mileposts 72 and 97. The contractor has indicated that he intends
to sweep the road during the week of September 24 and start the line
striping immediately afterwords. Our hope is to have it all complete by
October 5, 2007. This work is weather dependent, it could get delayed. We
are in the process of adding this information to our road status hotline.
It can be accessed by calling (540) 999-3500, 4, 1.

The gravel you heard about is probably related to the resurfacing project.
However, gravel can show up at anytime on any section of the roads within
the park. This can occur from a heavy rainstorm and/ or even traffic
driving off the road edges and onto the shoulders. Please ride with
caution at all times.

Thanks for your interest and enjoy your visit!

This is an "open-house" ride! All are invited and will be welcome. The way it's lookin' may have to break into several groups. Should be a good time!

You have any good routes? I am always up for new places. With this being only 2 weeks out, we prolly should get a list of attendeesand tighten up things so it goes as well as the first

I think I read that Monstermile is going to MB instead of this ride?? Monstermile, did you set this up and then bail on us?? Hmm.... shame on you!
