Wassup Cornbred.....last month we did this ride & started @ the entrance to Skyline Drive, & rode it to Rt.33.....I mentioned to MonsterMile that maybe this time we could jump on & head south from Rt.33, instead of the slow pace from the start. So that way the out-of-towners could see a little more of the drive. Run it down to Waynesboro to.......????

Rt. 250 west of I-81 is an incredible ride.....could take it for a few miles then loop back north...???

I'd be fine with taking it down a little father, just wanting to know so I can plan accordingly.

Has anyone out of this group gone farther down Skyline, like into the section that goes on into the Blue Ridge Parkway section toward Roanoke. I'd think that could be a sweet 2 day ride taking it on farther.

If you are considering going 250 west to Montery or somewhere in there and back up around 220 north to 33 or something that is right through my home territory and I'd be more than glad to help guide through that area.

The old lady & I just did the 250 to Monterey, then took 220 south to Warm Springs, 39 east over to Lexington where we spent the night. Next day we took 43 east up onto the BRP.....excellent ride no doubt.

Ive done the route 56 (about 20 miles south of waynesboro) to roanoke, I have made this run a few times and its beautiful. There is a lodge at the peaks of otter, but this time of year it stays full alot so call ahead.

MM, Keep me posted on times and meeting place. I may be interested in tagging along. It sounds like you're going out 70 to 340 and thru Winchester?
