Sharon and I really enjoyed meeting and riding with everyone. We hope that we can be a part of the next get together ride. We broke off with Mike and Joanne ( Mr and Mrs Buttman1000 ) and road on down Skyline Drive. They were staying at Skyland and we parted ways around 25 miles from Waynesboro. We went on to stay in Lexington, Va on Sat night and then rode thru WV staying at Smoke Hole cabins and resort Sun night. Very good accomodations central to some great riding roads. This would be a great area to do the next ride. We are glad to see that everyone got back safely. Thanks to Towpro, Monstermile, and Ol Biker, for a great time. BTW.. How do I attach pics?

I'd love to get this group up to PA for a ride. I'm thinkin' we meet in Chambersburg at M&S Harley and head over to Mount Alto and pick up 233, run that up to 274 @ Landisburg, and back down 75 to 30. Just a thought.

Yeah I'd be up for that ride.....we are only 120 miles from the Chambersburg area. Where does 75 come into 30 at, is that near Gettysburg......??? Hell, that way this weather is going, we can ride til spring....LOL.

It was good talking to ya Shop.....glad ya made the run with us.

Sorry I missed you. I didn't get to Winchester until 12:00 noon. I met some family in Harrisonburg and then went out on 33 West. Were you all stopped at an overlook on the west side of the twisties in WV sometime around 4:00?
that might have been us right before we hit a small patch of rain...

and someone did honk at us while we were sitting there... did you hit a little bit of rain?
That was definitely me, then. Yes, I hit rain. It was only a few raindrops.

Sorry again that I couldn't ride with the group. Here's my writeup on the weekend trip I took through West Virginia. (With pictures!)

Nice pictures and trip report. Looks like it was a great experience. I think I do remember you passing us while we were stopped in WV, because I remember commenting on all the gear you had packed on the back of your bike.

Route 75 comes down through the mountains and runs into 30 west of Chambersburg. Then you just head east for a bit and your back to 81. There's also a bunch of covered bridges along route 274. Hey, thanks for the invite! That stretch of rt. 33 just after we left the park was a blast!
